Got Wood – Bamboo Toothbrush doing good things.
Knowing that the amount of plastics in our oceans is always increasing, Got Wood was created in 2014 as a way to discreetly change the way the majority of people viewed ‘greenie products’. GW encourage all to help keep plastics out of our waterways, oceans and food chain simply by swapping your single use plastic toothbrush for a bamboo toothbrush.
The team at Got Wood pride themselves on being 99% environmental friendly. Their toothbrushes are made from Mao bamboo, whilst the bristles are made from nylon (the missing 1%). They are currently working closely with their manufacturer to produce a plant based bristle that is just as sturdy and reliable as the current bristles. They use non-toxic and raw recyclable materials (cardstock, postage goods, labels, etc.) and print in soy and vegetable inks, because it’s better for the environment. Their packaging also does not include any form of plastic, be it biodegradable or not.
The Got Wood team hot stamp each toothbrush in house, in Melbourne, whilst also supporting and working with local companies on a frequent basis and are 100% fair trade. New designs are created annually ensuring consumers have the option to differentiate their toothbrush from others’.
Got Wood cares for its environment and the humans in it. Therefore, they like to do their bit to help out where possible. Together, with the help from all Got Wood sales, we as a community are helping to sponsor World Vision’s Hassan Zeituna Godana from Kenya.
At times, 20% of Got Wood sales will go towards charities and special funding. Keep your eyes pealed and jump on board during these times as they give back to those in need.
